Encaustics

For a time, I enjoyed using encaustics in addition to painting in oils. Encaustic painting essentially involves liquefying wax, primarily beeswax, and painting it onto a panel or other rigid surface. It can then be layered upon and manipulated in many ways, which makes it an endlessly fascinating medium to explore.
All my encaustics have been sold, but I may take it up again one day.
